Prayer Points 14 June 2020
Our Church
ZB Ministry Initiatives – Pray for the continuing efforts and new initiatives being set into place as church carries on in this time when we are united by the Spirit even though physically apart:
ZB COVID-19 Survey #3 – A new survey is being launched this week (p.7). Pray that the results will allow our ministry leaders to have further insight into how every member is doing and to reach out pastorally where needed. Also, pray that the information collected will help shape the vision for our church and be ready to take on the future challenges.
ZB Directory of Businesses (p.7) – Pray for our members who have businesses affected by COVID-19.
Serving our Community – Keep the S3P program in prayer, for both our guest stayers and volunteers. Also for the food aid going out to the needy in the Bishan area. May Christ be seen in all we do.
Our People
AG Leaders – Thank God for these servants of the gospel. Pray for our leaders as they work through the book of Romans. May the Spirit give them wisdom and understanding and the ability to teach it well to their AGs for the building up of the body of Christ. Pray that they will be refreshed when LP (Leaders Prep) goes on break in July.
Marriages –Thank God for 10 couples that attended the Marriage Course Preview (13 Jun) that touched on conflict resolution. Pray for the future runs of the Marriage Course going online.
Those who are alone – Sincerely pray for those who are the sole-Christian in their families. It is a very isolating and lonely time for them being unable to meet up with fellow believers. Thank God for opportunities to use the Prayer Garden (p. 7) to meet and pray with our pastors.
Our World
Indonesia – Pak Heru, our ministry contact in East Java was called home to the Lord on Monday, 8 Jun after battling with COVID-19. His wife is in recovery herself from COVID-19. Pray for his family as they grieve this sudden loss.
South India – With funds from our CV19 MRF, one of our ministry partners was able to carry out food relief for a total of 881 families (3,049 people in total) who often have sick, elderly, and vulnerable ones in their midst. Pray that our partner would be able to follow up on the many who have had an opportunity to hear the gospel through these efforts.
East Nepal – Funds from ZB’s CV19 MRF were used by our ministry partner to buy rice for poor Tibetan, Rai, Tamang, and Dalit village families in the mountain range. Thank God that this relief project enabled friendship to be built with the Buddhist communities. Do pray for continued gospel opportunities through the good relations being forged with the authorities and families in this region.
