Prayer Points 25 October 2020
Our Church
26th Anniversary (24 Oct) – Thank God for seeing Zion Bishan through another year of ministry, especially in the recent months of COVID-19. Pray for our church to continue building one another up in the fear and love of the Lord.
Land Lease Renewal Fund – We will need to initiate the land lease renewal process with the authorities by 30 June 2021. Pray for God’s provision. Pray too that we will be good stewards of this land to be blessing to our community and to share the good news of Jesus.
In-Person Services – In November, we continue meeting in our Sunday services with up to 100 worshippers. As we look forward to moving towards Phase 3, pray for our congregation to come alongside with the plans of our pastors and leaders to move the church forward.
Our People
Session – Thank God for our Elders who love and serve the church. Pray for them as they gather for a retreat on 31 Oct to seek God’s direction in our worship, discipleship and mission in these times. May the Lord bless the work of their hands and may the effort and time they give to serve God be a blessing to many.
Befriender Program – Thank God for the faithful team who serve Christ through serving people in our community. Pray for this newly formed team as they reach out and befriend the elderly residents we had been serving through Food Aid.
Year End – Our children and youth are looking forward to the end of exams and the start of school holidays. Pray that as they relax after this unique school year, they will fill their hearts and time with things that matter to God. Pray for our parents to continue working hard in building up the foundations of faith of their children. Pray that our families will thrive when God is placed first in their lives.
Reception of Members – Praise God for new members joining our Zion Bishan family! Thank God for those who are being baptised and committing themselves to follow Jesus today.
Our World
Lebanon, Beirut – Praise God that our ministry partner’s centre has been repaired with the generous help of donors. Pray that the food aid they have been providing to needy families will bring them comfort in these desperate times. Pray also for a new government to be formed so that funds from the international community can be used to stabilise the country.
Central India – Pray for safe travel and good health for the 53 participants from our ministry partner as they have a training seminar in person. Thank God that 4 members from Zion Bishan will join in, via Zoom, to teach from the book of Jude. Other topics include a session on Leadership and Ministry, and studying the book of Galatians.
