Prayer Points 10 January 2021
Our Church
The Next Lap – Thank God for showing us the next step forward, as outlined in the bulletin last week.
As the English services scale up to 200pax on the 31 Jan – each service, with its dedicated AGs, will also have its own dedicated ‘Congregational Shepherding Team’ responsible for discipling and caring for each member. Ps Alby, Elders Say Chiang and Chin Yew at 10.30am;
Ps Haoren, Elders Sonny and David at 1pm; Ps Alby, Vernon, Elders Roland and Michael at 3pm; and finally Ps Dev, Elders Jeffrey and Reginald at 5pm.
Do pray for all our pastors and elders as they are accountable to God for taking care of the flock!
Ethnic Services – Thank God that with Phase 3 of re-opening, after Circuit Breaker, all our ethnic services have resumed in-person services weekly. Pray that as our Chinese and Tamil pastors continue teaching God’s Word and ministering to their congregations, many will come grow in their love for Him.
Our People
EXCEL Apprenticeship – We are so thankful to God that Dn Timothy Ong has decided to explore a calling into full-time ministry by embarking on our apprenticeship program, starting 12 Jan 2021. Pray for him as he spends one to two years training in theology and ministry. Timothy’s main portfolio will be in Home Missions.
Children’s Discipleship – Today Children’s Ministry resumes CD classes. Pray for the team and teachers as they serve God and the church through teaching the next generation His Word and about His great love towards us.
Deacons and Staff – Thank God for the team of deacons and staff working behind the scenes every Sunday that see to the smooth running of our registration procedures. As we gear up for 200pax in-person services, pray for the team as they work out the details to smoothen the process for everyone.
Ng Zhiwen and Dn Paul Yeo – will begin the process to be ordained as pastors. We rejoice and pray for them to see through the process well and that they will be well prepared to serve our Lord Jesus as ministers. Thank God for these two faithful servants of His gospel.
Our World
Myanmar – Praise God for a recent opportunity our ministry partner was able to show the love of Christ to their community. The church bought, repacked and sent rice packets to church members and their neighbours during this Christmas season. Our ministry partner is grateful for the financial gift from a Zion Bishan member that made it possible for them to do this. Pray that this act of love will help the recipients understand the love of God and open the way for the gospel to reach them.
