Prayer Points 31 January 2021
Our Church
Congregation Shepherding Team Dedication – The Congregation Shepherding Team (CST), comprising one pastor and two elders, has been set up to closely and intentionally work on the pastoral care and discipleship of each service congregation. Do keep the four CSTs in prayer as they begin the process of building up capacity and allocating resources for pastoral care, hopefully for all worshippers in their respective congregations. Pray for spiritual insight and sensitivity to cater to diverse needs, for strength, grace and power from the Holy Spirit to discharge their calling, and for protection as they stand at the forefront of spiritual battles.
Land Lease Renewal Fund – Thank God for provision and the generous giving of many members. We have crossed $8m in gifts and interest-free loans. Let us continue to pray that, as a church, we make the best use of the land and building we have for the furtherance of God’s kingdom.
Christianity Explored – Continue to pray for CE as they meet every Wednesday for the next seven weeks. Pray for the 28 attendees to continue coming to listen and ask questions, and for our table hosts and facilitators to share the gospel authentically and clearly.
Our World
Singapore – The news of a self-radicalised 16 year old who planned to attack Muslims is grave and saddening for the Christian community. Thank God for the swift actions of our law enforcement. Pray for continued peace in our country and for us to conduct ourselves with love towards one another.
Indonesia – Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for field worker B. who is reaching out to her neighbours. They are in need of practical relational and special needs help in their home. Pray for God’s protection and breakthroughs in her outreach effort as she shares God’s Word with them.
East Nepal – Our partner’s special needs children’s ministry is moving to a new facility. Pray for a smooth transition and also for good health for Ps P. & Ps L. as they begin 2 weeks of training and equipping frontier believers at their Winter Discipleship Programme. Pray for favourable weather conditions so that the trainees will be able to safely travel to the warmer location to begin their training and spend time there to pass the winter season.
North India – Praise God that our ministry partners can connect with the community through literacy and addiction programmes. Pray for R. who will undergoing surgery this week and for P.L. who has put her hope in Christ for her healing from cancer. Pray also for her entire family to come to know Jesus. Pray for the Lord of the harvest to send out committed workers to the urban and semi-urban mission fields here.
