Our Church
English Service Congregations – Let us pray that Zion Bishan will be a steadfast Christ-witnessing Church, that will grow in our love for God and others through our multiple Congregations, and serve Communities through our AGs and ministries. Pray for our Pastors and Elders to shepherd the flock well, and for each congregation to love and serve one another. Thank God for the many who have already stepped up to serve in the various areas needed each week.
Catechism Class (6 Feb) – A new class began this week with 31 participants. Thank God for continuing to grow Zion Bishan! Pray for every catechumen to be blessed through their time in the Catechism class.
ZBCS Combined Anniversary Service (7 Feb) – Thank God for blessing our Chinese congregation! We thank God for the multiple dialect groups our Pastors and Ministry Staff are able to minister to. They celebrate their 30th Anniversary today. May God continue to bless this ministry to our Chinese speaking community.
Christianity Explored – Continue to pray for CE as they meet every Wednesday for the next few weeks. Pray for the participants to continue coming to hear gospel. May their hearts be open to receive God’s Word and see who Jesus is.
Our World
Myanmar – On 1 Feb, Myanmar’s military seized power after detaining Aung San Suu Kyi and other democratically elected leaders. A one year state of emergency was also declared.
Pray for peace and justice to reign in an impoverished land whose ethnically diverse people have already suffered greatly after years of political unrest, and now economic impoverishment because of the pandemic.
Pray for God’s protection and peace on Pastor J and other believers who often face discrimination for their Christian faith. Thank God we have still been able to get updates from our partner and to support them in prayer.
Indonesia – Pray for workers E & L who lost their newborn baby recently. Pray that God will comfort them during this difficult time and bring them healing and restoration. May God continue to guide them as they consider moving to other parts of Indonesia to serve the locals.
India – celebrated its 71st Republic Day on 26 Jan. Please pray that God’s love and peace will shine through the believers in this great nation so that cultural barriers to the gospel, such as the Indian Caste system, can be overcome. May the good news reach every village and town in India.
