Our Church
Ministry Planning & Budgeting – Thank God for the many activities we have in our church to minister to various community and discipleship needs. Pray for each team as they plan for the next financial year. Do take note of the upcoming Ministry Behind the Money event on 13 Nov (see p.8 for details).
Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P) for Women – Thank God our church premises continues to be used as a refuge to those in need. Thank God also for the network of churches that are providing shelter, and collaborating to better see to the needs of those we serve. One of our stayers has transferred to, while we receive another stayer from, BPMC. Pray for a smooth transition.
Our People
Brother Masilamani – from our Tamil Service, is still on a ventilator in the ICU. Please pray for God’s healing hand to be upon him. Pray also for his wife, Mrs. Janaki, in this time when it is difficult to make visitations.
Preaching Team – Thank God for the faithful preachers who spend time studying and preparing God’s Word to be taught to us. Pray for the team as they meet to discuss the upcoming Advent evangelistic series.
Our World
India – Pray for opportunities for our partner’s workers to share the good news in their villages in the Northeast. May the listeners receive the good news positively. Likewise, pray for good times of the reading and teaching of the Bible so that new believers can grow in their faith and maturity despite facing many challenges. Pray also that new workers can be raised for the new fields in this vast nation.
Lebanon – is again plunged into darkness as the country’s two largest power stations shut down due to a fuel shortage (9 Oct). Pray for restoration of the economy and for wise political leadership to arise in these desperate times so that the suffering of the population can be eased. Pray for continued strength and hope for our partners here, who struggle daily to provide food and relief. Pray for some semblance of normal life to return for the refugees they serve and their church community.
Nepal – Praise God for the provision of a buffalo that will provide the much needed milk for children in a home, for the intellectually challenged, run by our partner. We also thank God for the purchase of a projector and sound system for their meetings and classroom lessons. This equipment has also helped us connect better with our partner virtually. Pray for God’s blessings to be upon a wedding in their community between a pastor’s son and a young lady who grew up in the children’s home since she was 4.
