Prayer Points 19 December 2021
Our Church
Reception of New Members –Praise God for the 20+ adults and 9 little children who have joined Zion Bishan today! May we welcome them joyfully into our church family and make every effort to ensure their spiritual growth that they may know the love of God the Father given to us abundantly in Christ Jesus.
Basic AG Leaders Equipping Course –Thank God for the 8 participants who have spent the last 6 weeks thinking through what the Bible says about healthy small groups that grow in maturity and in mission. Continue to pray that our Father will guide us in the urgent work of training and raising under-shepherds who can feed the flock at Zion Bishan. Do uphold our existing AG leaders across all the congregations too, as they persevere in the hard work of pastoral care and Word ministry.
Our World
Lebanon –Throughout the country’s economic collapse, our partner has been faithfully supporting the needy people in Beirut through relief and food parcels. And afterwards, when asked if they would like to study the Bible, many recipients were interested and persevered through Bible basics and even on to further levels. Praise God also for the testimonies of healing that have taken place. May God grow the faith of these new believers, so that more will come to know Him.
Bangladesh –Thank God for the recent food distribution effort by our partner to a total of 2,900 pre-schoolers. This effort has helped to alleviate malnutrition that was affecting many families because of the pandemic. Praise God that the government administrators in these areas had a positive response to this aid to their communities. Pray that this will continue to bear fruit for the Kingdom.
NE India – Pray for our following partners:
Partner S runs day-care centres (DCC) that serves the poor and needy children in many neighbourhoods. Pray for new children to adjust well to the routine of the DCCs. May the good news of Christmas be clearly understood by the children and their parents in this season. Pray also for the provision of a place to rent for a 1-year old DCC; prospective house owners are generally reluctant to rent out their compounds due to the DCC’s association with slum children.
Partner M is having their Annual General Meeting this month. Pray for their AGM to go well and may the Lord enable the leaders and use their vision to equip and send out missionaries to the region in the coming year.
Partner O, despite facing severe challenges, reports the formation of 2 new fellowship groups. Pray for the Lord’s protection on these new believers and the spirit’s guidance on the disciple making process that is needed to mature the church.
