ZB Covid-19 Task Force Advisory – 29 Jan 2022
Worshiping Together in a Covid-19 Resilient Time
Dear Zion Bishan family,
We are one year into our Next Lap of worshiping and growing together as multiple congregations. We have learnt to ‘go with the flow’ of the ongoing pandemic and the government-mandated safe management measures, while pursuing our vision. By God’s grace, we will likewise ride through the current Omicron wave and the stepping-up of Vaccine-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) that kick in from 1st February.
We expect more people to test positive for Covid-19 in the coming weeks. If you have tested positive (and especially if you have recently attended an in-person church activity on our premises or elsewhere), please contact one of the pastors as soon as possible. We want to care for you, and also determine further necessary steps to protect others and reduce the risk of community transmission within the church.
All our in-person services and activities will proceed as per usual with the necessary safe management measures (SMMs).
However, all worship and wedding services (regardless of size) are subjected to VDS. This means that services are admissible only for persons who are fully vaccinated, recovered from Covid-19, or medically ineligible for vaccination (i.e. all those with ‘green’ status on the TraceTogether / SafeEntry system)*. Children aged 12 and below (i.e. born in or after 2010) are not subjected to VDS.
VDS does not apply to our classes or to gatherings at home.
We continue to encourage all our members who are not fully vaccinated to get vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, please contact one of the pastors or our ministry staff; we want to work out how to continue ministering and caring for you and your family.
Meanwhile, do continue to look out for one another and stand together as one spiritual family of God. A threefold cord is not easily broken.
