Prayer Points 27 February 2022
Our Church
ECM – Thank God for another year of God’s faithful provision of finances. We pray that as we move into an endemic season, our ministries will be driven by His Kingdom purposes and not merely Covid restrictions. We also pray that the Lord will continue to send more labourers into His harvest field – especially full time workers!
Action Groups (AGs) – Praise God for the 40 AGs in our English congregations. Pray for the AG Leaders to have the perseverance and wisdom to serve and lead their groups. Pray also for the word of God to be understood in our minds and also applied practically in our lives so that we may truly be groups faithful to God in word and action. Pray that our AGs will become more aware and involved in what God is doing to bring ALL peoples to Himself, and that courses such as “The Unfinished Story” (highlighted in Mission Focus today) will help move us to that end.
Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P) – Many of the women staying with our Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P) will be moving to alternative housing come Monday 28 Feb. Please pray for the transition to go well, and for the others who still need a long-term housing solution. Uphold our volunteer team to conclude this ministry well.
Our World
India – Pray for a pastors’ conference in March in Northeast India. May our Lord enable all 150 attendees to have a safe arrival and a refreshing time together. In Central India, praise God that the workers here are faithfully sharing the good news of Jesus through Discovery Bible Studies. Pray that those studying the Word will come to acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and be nurtured to spiritual maturity through intentional discipleship. In the Hindi belt region, pray for committed missionaries with skills in education and evangelism to be raised for the growing work in this field.
Indonesia – Praise God for the fruit of people coming to Christ weekly in an area that was hard ground for 5 years of engagement. Through these 5 years, the team persevered in praying for this place, often through driving around and praying for the people that live there. Pray for these new believers to grow strong in the knowledge and obedience to God’s word.
Ukraine & Russia – President Vladimir Putin has initiated what looks like a ‘full-scale invasion’ of Ukraine. Pray for God’s mercy to be upon the innocent people who are in grave anguish, and for the schemes of the wicked to be frustrated. May we fear and obey Christ the Lord who is the world’s righteous Judge and King.
