Prayer Points 10 April 2022
Our Church
Palm Sunday – As we ponder Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem this Palm Sunday, the picture we get is not a triumphant military king on a war horse but a humble servant king, on a donkey. Let us remember that it was love that drove Jesus to give his life on the cross for us. What is the Lord asking of you today? May this life we live be FOR our Lord, in courageous service to Him. May we be willing to sacrifice our all for Him just as he was willing to do so for us.
Bishan Home – With the ease in measures, in-person activities were originally planned for this Sunday. Unfortunately a few positive cases were found on Wednesday and they now have to control visitors and volunteers again. Do keep the residents and staff in prayer that the situation will be under control and they will still hope in God during this challenging season of isolation and reduced interaction.
Our People
Darrell Tan – Praise God for Darrell’s commissioning as Zion Bishan’s missionary this morning. It is a special moment for him and his family, a culmination of many years of prayer and preparation. Pray for Darrell to draw wisdom and courage from the Lord as he engages in the task of missions and mobilisation.
Our World
India – Two partners in the North are seeking prayer for the smooth completion of their yearly financial audits at this time. For another partner in the north, please pray for 6 families who have had to leave their communities because of their faith. May the Lord continue to encourage them in the midst of this. Praise God that they are strong in their faith. A partner that runs a day care centre for children in the northeast has requested prayers for a bigger venue as their work have expanded and their current place has become congested. May they be able to find a suitable one.
Indonesia – The same partner that has seen a small group turning to Christ from the blind community here requests for prayer for their ministry to the deaf and mute community. There was not much response to the gospel, hence, their field workers started praying earnestly in recent months for this community. Praise God for one girl who was open to study the word and who received the good news with gladness. Pray that there will be a movement for the gospel among the deaf and mute communities here in Indonesia.
