Prayer Points 24 April 2022
Our Church
The 8.30am English Service and Congregation – Pray over the move of the 1pm Service to the 8.30am time slot, which takes effect on Sunday, 1 May. Uphold the Congregational Shepherding Team as they lead in this, and that this congregation will settle and grow as one that worships, fellowships, cares for all who comes, and that reaches out as witnesses to Christ.
Church Upgrading – We thank God for the “good” problem of us running out of space. But the church upgrading is much more than increasing space. It is part of our vision for growth within and mission to reach out to the community. Pray for all to catch the same vision and mission, and for the upgrading team and leadership, God’s wisdom and discernment. (please see Word in Season on pgs 7-8)
Our People
Steve Aw Yong – Our brother Steve has been hospitalised for the past one month, and the condition of his degenerative spine disorder has been worsening. Pray for the comfort and peace of our Lord to be upon his heart as this period of reduced interaction and isolation will be distressing and depressing. Pray also for strength and courage for him and his family in this difficult time.
Our World
India – One of our partners is having a connect-meeting where 50 new pastors are meeting up in Northeast India. Pray that it will be an encouraging and edifying meeting for all. May the Lord give discernment and unity to all who labour in the various fields. We thank God for an opportunity by our bible college partner to conduct a whole day and night prayer meeting. May this prayer meeting strengthen the faith of the believers here and enlarge their vision for the harvest. We thank God for a successful spinal operation on 18 Apr for Ps L who fell while repairing his house. Pray for complete healing for this brother who is labouring as Pastor in NE India.
Indonesia – Praise God for testimonies of people who have come to faith in Jesus through miraculous healing or through the study of His word. Praise God for the faith of one lady who was a victim of a natural disaster in 2018. Her faith developed from faithful study of the word over 3 years and now she is bold in sharing her faith despite many challenges. Pray that the various workers persevering in various locations will take comfort and strength from the Lord.
