Prayer Points 18 September 2022
Our Church
Bishan Home – Thank God that despite the extra precautions taken to reduce in-person activities, we have been able to love and serve the residents through Sunday School lessons and calls over Zoom, and even have in-person devotions with some residents. Continue to pray for the Covid-19 situation to improve, health and safety for the residents, and strength and resilience for the caregivers.
Living Room – Thank God that The Living Room has been refurbished and re-opened with new hours. Pray for the staff team as they adjust to the new ministry model, and for the cafe as it continues to be a blessing to others through hospitality.
Our World
Nepal Mission Trips – Two ZB Church teams will be serving in Nepal. Team 1 will be trekking to remote places in the northwest from this week. Team 2 will be in the southwest in mid Oct. Training for harvest workers and discipleship meetings will be held. Pray for the Spirit’s anointing in all these meetings — that God’s people will be nourished by His word and equipped for the Gospel work amongst Unreached and Frontier peoples (UPGs/FPGs).
Please also pray for our partner here, for smooth construction of an orphanage in the western part of the country. Pray that the light of Christ may shine through their compassionate service to this community. One primary school is also being built in south Nepal with the support of believers from South India, pray for it to be used mightily to bless the local community.
Philippines – Our ministry partner in Bacolod, Student Missionary Outreach, recently celebrated 45 years of ministry. Praise God for the many young people who have been touched by the gospel through their faithful work in high schools and colleges in many parts of Philippines. Pray that this ministry will continue to be sustained by the Lord and that they would have the wisdom to continue being relevant and impactful in the places they are working in.
