Prayer Points 9 October 2022
Our Church
New Registration System – We thank God for the team who worked tirelessly in creating an app for registration. The app will replace the system of scanning our ICs on Holy Communion Sundays, as required by our Constitution, particularly for ECM/ACM purposes. It also provides the means through which the pastoral team can better serve the flock, esp those who are absent. Pray for patience as we adjust to this new system, and especially for the registration teams who render their service so faithfully each week. Let us put into practice the exhortation of God’s word in Eph 4:32: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Children’s Day – We are thankful for each child who attends the Sunday Children’s Discipleship program. As we celebrate Children’s Day, please pray for our children to grow to love and fear the Lord Jesus as they learn more of Him each week through God’s word. Pray for our children to be always aware and thankful for all the blessings that God has given them, that they may grow an attitude of gratitude in these foundational years of their lives.
Christianity Explored (CE) – We thank God for the 6 seekers who have joined us for the past 5 weeks, for their friendships forged and for the opportunity to journey with them and lead them closer to Jesus. Pray for their accompanying friends and table hosts as they continue journeying with them and help them come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
Our World
Nepal – Our ZB church team in Nepal has successfully reached and ministered at village D in a remote district of E Nepal. Thank God for their good and safe trek to the village and now down again to the plains. Pray for continued protection on their health and safety and good conversations with friends and partners here. A second ZB church team leaves on 11 Oct to conduct a few days of special needs education training for our ministry partner in E Nepal. Pray that there will be good and clear communication for the training sessions and safety in their travels.
India – Please continue to pray for brother B who went Home to the Lord recently. A memorial thanksgiving service was held for him last Monday and we thank God that his 5-year-old daughter is currently being cared for by a relative. There is still much uncertainty for her future, let’s pray for her and the rest of the church community as they press on with the ministry brother B has built up over the years.
