1. Read Zech 11:4-14. How are both the flock and “their own shepherds” (v. 5) behaving badly? What is this sign-act depicting?
2. What are the flock (especially their leaders, see v. 5) doing when they pay the 30 pieces of silver (vv. 11-12)?
3. Read Matthew 23. Why did Jesus denounce the religious leaders? Read John 10:7–18. How does Jesus describe himself in these verses?
4. What are some things that may happen as a result of God’s people and churches following bad shepherds today?
