Prayer Points 21 May 2023
Our Church
Basic AG Leaders Equipping Course – Thank God for the 8 members/leaders who are participating in this run of BAGLE, beginning today. Pray that our Father will minister to them as they reflect on their own spiritual life, and how personal discipleship and healthy small group ministry fits into ZB’s Next Lap Vision. May the life and goodness of our Good Shepherd, Jesus fill them and guide them in their own ministry to the flock here.
Our People
BGST Convocation – We give thanks for the graduation of Ps Paul Yeo and Elder John Chai for their graduation at the 32nd Convocation Service of the Biblical Graduate School of Theology, held at our church on Sat 20 May. Pray for the graduating class as they now use the training they have acquired for ministry in both church and workplace.
Our World
India – Two mission partners have requested prayers regarding the heat wave hitting their areas. As a result, people are sick or activities have to be postponed. Pray for cooler weather. One partner has also requested prayers for their planned summer children camp where 500 participants are expected. May the Lord draw
these dear ones closer to Him as they hear God’s Word taught and understood.
Indonesia – One partner shares about the opportunities to pray for the sick and their families at a local medical centre. May this bless them and draw them closer to the Lord. Pray for the 2 ladies who are working faithfully to reach those in need of healing with the love of Christ. Pray that there will be opportunities to follow up on
those who are open to God.
Myanmar – (CNA, 16 May) Cyclone Mocha made landfall on Sun (14 May) between Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh and Myanmar’s Sittwe (capital of Rakhine state) packing winds of up to 195kph. This was the biggest storm to hit the Bay of Bengal in over a decade and 41 deaths were reported. Pray for the Rakhine people and Rohingya Muslims who live in the area and are bearing most of the physical damage and personal injury from this cyclone.
