Prayer Points 5 Nov 2023
India Team – Ps Ebi and Shu Anne left last week to join Sharon in India for visits to two mission partners. They will be there till mid November. For one partner, they will be doing some Bible and teacher training for them. Pray for clear communication and a good time of relationship building between our church and these two new mission partners. May our time with them bring mutual blessing and encouragement to each other. Pray also for safety on the journey and good health for the team.
Tuition Ministry – Thank God for the faithfulness of our teachers in the past year. For the O level exams that are currently ongoing, pray for the students to remember what they have been taught, and that they will do their best without putting too much pressure on themselves. Pray for a good time of celebrating friendships and the hard work they have put in as they gather for a year-end party this coming Thursday (9 Nov). Also pray for more tutors to step forward to serve in 2024.
Christianity Explored (CE) – Thank God for the 5 seekers and 3 friends who came with them through the past 7 weeks. It was our joy and privilege to share as we journeyed together with them in the Gospel of Mark. Pray for our table hosts and members who will be following up with their friends, that they will know how best they can continue supporting them on this journey of seeking Christ, relying on the Spirit’s help.
Our Denomination
Emmanuel BP Church – In his quarterly write up, Ps David Wong wrote: “In my annual report as General Secretary, I highlighted the closure of three BP churches in the last five years… As a fraternity of eleven churches, may the stronger among us help the weaker. Will members from better-resourced churches consider moving, individually or in groups, to help revitalise a brother BPCIS church?” We pray that some of our ZB members will consider supporting our sister churches, starting with Emmanuel BP. They meet every Sunday at 9.30am, down the road at One Pemimpin. Please contact Ps Dev or Ps David Leong for more details.
Our World
India – One partner in the NE is organising a youth festival next week and they are expecting 500 youths to attend. May this be an event that will unite the church across its various congregations and raise up the next generation of harvest workers, fervent for the Lord. Thank God that a children’s camp in October had 400 over children from their various congregations as well as some from outside attend. It was a good time of learning and growing in Christ.
