Our People

Ms Adeline Char – We thank God for Ms Char, a faithful missionary who worked in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to bring the love of Christ to the places she ministered in. She has been a long time missionary friend of Zion Serangoon and Zion Bishan churches, impacting in particular, Pastor Emeritus Quek Swee Hwa in his early days to dedicate his life to full time Pastoral work. This past week, she passed peacefully to her heavenly home on 11 Apr 2024. She was 100 yrs old and was living in Ling Kwang Home for Senior Citizens and was a member of Emmanuel BP Church.

Our World

India – In the Hindi Belt region (N. India) one partner reported that in spite of opposition, they are thankful that there are people who have responded with belief and obedience. National elections start on 19 Apr and complete on 1 Jun 2024. The leaders elected determine among many things, the religious climate in which the nation lives. Pray that God’s will be done and that believers will stand firm in the faith, hope and love of the Lord. Pray for all believers who will face challenges for their faith, may God be their strength and shield. Pray also for all workers and believers who are getting equipped for the work of the gospel, to put their hand to the plow for the harvest.

Wars – As we remember the various ongoing conflicts in Israel-Gaza , Myanmar, Sudan (civil war), Ukraine, let us remember all who have suffered injury, tremendous loss and who live with fear, grief and trauma daily. We thank God that He works to draw all peoples to Himself even when in war and conflict. May the Lord be merciful and bring peace to the suffering of the vulnerable in all these countries.
