Come & Help Us

Over the past 10 years, several pastors in the BP denomination have made much intentional effort to get to know one another, to build up trust amongst the churches. 

Thankfully, those efforts are slowly bearing fruit. Other than the official events, we are now doing our best to share resources and expertise, wherever possible. 

Yet I believe we can do more. We need to start sharing or even sending people. 

All of us are working for the One church, with our One Lord Jesus Christ as its head. All of us labour for the same kingdom and the same harvest. As such, I believe the successes and struggles of every church matter to God, and thus should matter to us. 

We have recently received appeals from two or three sister churches to help them in a more substantial way. While we can advise or provide financial aid, I think what they really need, is what all churches really need – people. Particularly, willing and mature Christians who can go over to those churches (even for a season) to build relationships, serve the brothers and sisters there, assist with their inreach and outreach efforts, etc. 

While this is in no way a simple or straightforward process, we’ve already seen the fruits of this with our current efforts. Having just 5-6 people go over our sister church for a year has made a noticeable difference. Imagine what 50 persons could do!

As such, I am right now appealing on behalf of these churches for ZB members to ‘come and help us’. We intend to be more intentional about this as we enter 2025 – our #getsent: Missional Communities year, where our overall emphasis will be on going.
