Questions for Reflection & Discussion:
- How do you normally react when you reach genealogies (family lines) in your bible reading (be honest)? Why do you think they are included?
- In the family lines (of Cain, and of Seth), which names are familiar to you? What do you think is highlighted in each respective line?
- Trace the advancement of blessing (e.g., fruitfulness, taking dominion) and curse (sin, violence, death) in both family lines. What are your feelings about humanity at the end of Genesis 5?
