Prayer Points 1 Dec 2024

Our Church

Terusan Migrant Guest Workers’ Christmas Program – Pray for this evening’s outreach at 6.30pm, that all registered will attend and hear the gospel. May God use the volunteers to serve with love and glorify His name.

Children’s Ministry Retreat – Thank God that 18 CD teachers gathered yesterday for a retreat as Danny taught us about God’s continuing story in Samuel and Saul, and be equipped to teach it in 2025. Pray that our time in God’s Word will first encourage the teachers’ hearts in seeing God as the True King who is committed to rescuing His people. May it then help them show this God to the children in the coming year.

Domestic Helpers’ Fellowship Christmas Party (1 Dec) – Praise God that almost 90 have registered for the Christmas Party today, with two-thirds being visitors, including many from other faiths.  Pray that the Lord will work through the gospel presentation and group discussions to convict the hearts of the attendees of the Good News. Pray especially that God would also move the hearts of the visiting helpers to want to stay and keep in touch with the fellowship after today.

Our World

Lebanon – Thank God Israel and He.zbollah agreed to a ceasefire that took effect on 27 Nov. May this ceasefire pave the way for longer-term peace given the year-long physical, emotional and social toil on many. Continue to pray for our partner, who is continuing to support and comfort the many internally displaced refugees.

Radion Team (Thailand) –  Thank God  our team of 8 arrived safely in Thailand last Sunday. The trip began with learning and orientating to Thai language and culture with Radion before accompanying the local Radion team for home visits amidst preparing their testimonies and some crafts, songs and games for a camp for vulnerable children this weekend. These children have been identified by their schools as possibly at risk because of the general prevalence and easy access to illegal drugs in the area. Pray that the team will have fruitful times of connecting with the children to provide relevant help where necessary.
