Our Church
Catechism Class Retreat – We thank God that 45 of us managed to take a day away, last Saturday, to think about our walk with Jesus. Please continue to pray for the catechumens, that they will find AGs to settle in before the year ends!
Domestic Helpers’ Fellowship (DHF) 1 Dec Outreach Party – Thank God for the visible impact of the DHF bible studies on the lives of many domestic helpers, both Christian and non-Christian. Pray for their aim to disciple every helper in every Zion Bishan family, and their efforts to introduce all ZB families’ helpers to DHF through this outreach party. Pray for ZB families to invite their helpers to the party, for the helpers to accept the invitations to attend, and for the gospel message to touch their hearts, no matter what language they understand. Pray also for AG79 as they organise the party, including the gospel message, and for enough volunteers to befriend the helpers and effectively facilitate the breakout group discussions on the message.
Basic AG Leaders Equipping Course – Praise God for the 13 brothers and sisters who are participating in this round of the BAGLE Course! We pray that the LORD will encourage their hearts in His word and equip them with the gospel as they carefully consider the privilege and responsibility of leading and caring for other members in their AGs.
Our World
Indonesia – Thank God for the establishment of a Centre for the visually challenged in the central part of one of the Indonesian islands 2 yrs ago by our partner. There have been several beneficiaries who have come to know Jesus through this ministry. Pray for perseverance and opportunities to follow up with these ones who will also share the love of Christ with others in their social networks.
Lebanon – One of the organisations that we know who are doing relief work on the ground reports that it has been the most challenging period in Lebanon’s modern history since the escalation of conflict between Is.rael and He.zbollah in late September. Another church who is our partner is doing relief work on the ground also serving food and basic necessities to those forcibly displaced. As winter draws near and the war continues, pray for mercy and help for the vulnerable who are suffering.
