Our Church
New School Term – Pray for children and youths starting their school terms in the new year, such as our P1s & Sec 1s as they transition and adapt to new schools. Pray that as Christian students, they not only grow in their learning, but also grow in favour with God and man, to be salt and light in their schools.
Children’s Discipleship (CD) 2025 – Pray for the various congregations’ CD teachers and parents that they may partner each other well in the discipleship of all our children – that God’s word may be taught and modelled to each child in 2025! Pray also for the various briefings for parents, which begin today and continue over the next two weeks for the various congregations, that these will be edifying times of prayer and discussion.
Our World
India – Pray for two bereavements in the group of churches that we have been connecting with in S. India. The first one was the wife of a church-planter in a village area who went home to the Lord on 27 Dec after a serious road accident on Christmas day. She was travelling with her husband and two children (aged 8 yrs and 15 months) on their motorbike. The second one was the death of the father of a church-planter in the same network who became ill and passed away also on 27 Dec 2024. Pray for the Lord’s comfort on the bereaved families.
Lebanon – The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon which started on 27 Nov 2024 is holding though shaky. Pray that this peace will allow many who are displaced from their homes to finally return safely to them. Thank God that our partner in Beirut was able to reach out to many in different parts of Lebanon through their Christmas programmes to proclaim the gospel. As the country tries to rebuild, pray for Christians to persevere in being salt and light in their communities.
Malaysia – Pray for the Tamil fellowship in Ipoh and the work among the Orang Asli people, that the Holy Spirit will open many hearts to receive the Good News in 2025.
