Prayer Points 16 April 2023
Our People
Ps Paul Yeo’s father had a fall last Sunday morning, and cut his chin. He was then sent to TTSH for stitching but an MRI scan of his brain found that he was actually suffering from a SILENT STROKE (everything seems to be normal but gradual motion and speech deterioration). The scan also detected a previous stroke sometime ago, which was also undetected by the family. A neurologist will be advising the family on the next steps forward. Please pray for his recovery and also wisdom and grace for the family as they journey with him.
Ps David Leong – Do keep him in prayer as he focuses on preaching and teaching the Word to encourage and build up our sister church, Emmanuel BP Church.
Our World
Nepal – Thank God for the safe return of brother Michael and Ps HR back from Nepal last Thursday from Nepal. Though they could not get a mountain flight from the remote town in northwest Nepal back down to the plains area, they were able to travel by jeep to their destination so as to catch their internal flight back to Kathmandu. Thank God for the encouragement they were able to bring to the community in the northwest, on the topic of Christian Maturity. May God spur this community towards maturity in Christ in all areas of their lives.
Lebanon – Last month, before sister Christy left for a visit to this country, a call was sounded for 450 cards of encouragement to be given to a faith-based organisation working in Lebanon. In the end, 512 encouragement cards were collected and distributed to our brothers and sisters there. May the words, and prayers sent forth lift and strengthen each of our brothers and sisters labouring in this country for the Kingdom. May the Lord grow his Kingdom in this country that has suffered great economic turmoil in the last few years.
